Nitro WV – Easton Dickens on Sunday took the win in the junior division in the third stop of the BASS Nation of West Virginia Junior Trail. Easton took home the win with a total weight of 4.21 that was anchored by a 3.96 smallmouth.

“That 3.96 smallmouth was my personal best smallmouth,” said Easton. “This win boosted my confidence and made me proud. I have won a few tournaments with my Dad, but this was my first win on the Junior Trail.

Easton claims the big smallmouth was an exciting catch that he will never forget.

“The big fish swirled on a topwater and didn’t get the bait,” Easton said. “I flipped a jig back in there and he ate it.” 

Finishing in the runner-up position was the team of Luke Stewart and Austin Craze who had a total of 4.09. The second-place finish will further their lead for the TOY standings in the Junior division.
