Over the weekend, the top kayak fishing trails from West Virginia released their schedules for 2023 which include over 17 different tournaments between all three clubs that visit different bodies of water throughout West Virginia.
At the end of the year, the organizations will send their best anglers to compete in the 2nd Annual Best of the Best West Virginia State Championship that was won by Coy Lehman in 2022.
Mountain State Kayak Anglers 2023 Schedule
AEP Lakes (Ohio) – April 29th
Jackson County Lakes – May 13th
Greenbrier River – June 10th
New River – August 26th
MSKA Championship – September 9th & 10th
“The biggest factor this year in planning our schedule was angler expenses. We wanted an exciting season with some twists, but also keep the driving and fuel costs to a minimum this year for our anglers,” said Coy Lehman of MSKA.

All three of the organizations are top notch and I have had the pleasure of working with them personally to cover events in the past. If you are a kayak fisherman and want to put your skills to the test, I highly recommend getting in touch with one of the organizations and joining.
